Formed in 2021, Not Like the Others brings together the talented vocals of Sara with a solid three-piece band providing rock, dance & indie classics to keep any dance floor filled all night long.
Experienced, solid bassist. Locks into the groove and you know it’s going to be a good night. Often found lurking in dark corners rocking out to a heavier vibe. Enjoys a wide range of music from Slipknot all the way to the mellow tones of Texas. We love him. Also works alongside his brother in The Garden Club – an equally awesome band on the party/festival scene in the Southwest.
As some of our followers will know, Laura has had to step away from the band for family reasons. Following auditions, we're chuffed to introduce our new lead vocalist... here she is 🙂 Sara started off learning to sing opera, honing a stunning voice for rock. She's since performed on stage both in bands and as a solo singer, with styles from soul, R&B to Guns & Roses. Nor is she shy. Not only having the skills to pay the bills, she's a lovely person too. And to us, that's REALLY important. This is the lady who is fit to fill our Laura's shoes.
Our guitarist. Dedicated to arranging songs in a way that works for our 4-piece. Moving on from spending a lively, happy 7 years playing lead and totally enjoying himself (his words) with Indie/rock covers band New Ocean. Describes himself as a rock guitarist with Americana/Southern influence. He’s a sucker for a groove that gets people dancing. Truth be told, we’ve caught him enjoying all sorts… (Music, I mean… Behave! 🤨)
An exceptional drummer. Proper nice guy and nails the rhythm, never shying away from the more complex songs. His kit sounds amazing and fills which ever room we’re lucky enough to be playing. Previous history as a drummer with an originals band, took a break for his family and has now launched himself back into live playing with some considerable style.
