After a lot of dedication and sheer hard work learning 30+ songs and as well as bringing some of her own choices to the list, Sara showed every single person in that large room exactly what she is capable of. Her first gig fronting NLTO (at The Chapel, Cotford St Luke) was a complete smash and even WE went home in a daze.
Memorable moments (apart from a guitar string breaking in the first song and Steve’s bass rig totally cutting out – both fixed methodically and back to business): Sara’s set choices of Tina Turner’s Proud Mary and Skunk Anansie’s Weak rocked. Those and ABBA’s Mama Mia set the bar for us going forward.
